Solving the world's problems with the push of a button.

Forget 3d printing, ‘Project Replicate’ intends to construct the world’s first Star Trek like ‘replicator’ device.

In science fiction, a replicator works by rearranging atoms in such a way so as to fit to a specific biological or mechanical blueprint. In other words, if you’re hungry for a cheeseburger, you ask a replicator to make you a cheeseburger- and it does so directly from thin air.

Need a guitar? Replicate it. Need a wrench? Replicate it. Need a cup of hot coco at just the right temperature? Replicate it.

Sound like an impossible pursuit? Already, nature itself is capable of biological replication. A pregnant mother is the perfect example of this. A woman consumes fruits, vegetables, breads, pastas, and meats. Nine months later, an infant is born constructed of the very raw material ingested by its host.

Here’s a clip from Star Trek the Next Generation detailing what the future could look like thanks to such advances like replication technology.

The philosophical implications of replication technology

Lawmakers are already attempting to restrict certain uses of 3d printing due to the wealth of harm that such innovation presents to industrial capitalism. It will undoubtedly prove the same when quantum replication technology is finally introduced.

Project Replicate intends to fight those who would restrict technological progress and to create a world of abundance for all people everywhere.

In the following clip, physicist Michio Kaku argues a fundamental point: what good would money serve in a world where anything needed could be magically produced on the spot?

Kaku asserts that the broad scope of positive changes that could be made with replication technology constitutes a ‘subversive’ idea.

Volunteers needed

Project Replicate requires the skills, talents, and abilities of all who would step forward to this monumental task. Specifically, folks with a background in science and engineering need apply. However, there is room for everyone at every level to get involved- especially on the activism front.

In order for Project Replicate to succeed, word must spread like a wild-fire. Print material, flyers, brochures, videos, and more are needed to make the project grow.

In the coming weeks and months, Project Replicate will take to ‘Kick Starter’ in hopes of raising enough funds in order to construct a basic, organizational framework.

If you would like to pitch in and help raise awareness to the project and its ideals, please send an e-mail to projectreplicate@gmail.com.
